Last month I had the honour of covering my cousin’s wedding. Tara is the youngest of the Beach grandchildren, and it was both heart-warming and surreal to watch her walk down the aisle.
How Tara + Daryl met changes depending on who you ask. Daryl will say “at Tara’s work”, while Tara will say “at the bar”. For the purposes of this post (and since the wife if always right 😉 ), let’s go with the second version. After a whirlwind romance, Daryl proposed 10 months later at the Memorial Dart Tournament held in honour of Tara’s Dad. In front of more than 70 of their friends and family, Daryl unrolled a sign reading “Tara Beach, will you marry me?“. And through tears of joy, she said yes!
The next weekend, the newly engaged couple attended my very own wedding. I went over to congratulate them (and check out her new bling), when she asked me if I could photograph their wedding. I didn’t think my wedding day could have gotten better, but somehow, Tara added even more happiness to the day by asking us to be a part of her very own special day.
Their wedding day was a bit chilly, but the rain stayed away (I attribute this to all the anti-rain dancing Tara and I did leading up to the big day). The sky was picture perfect and the Bride + Groom were absolutely stunning! Thanks again to Tara + Daryl for allowing us to capture the start of their marriage – I know a lifetime of happiness is in store for them!
