At about 6 weeks old, Lena was a little older than most of the babies we get in the studio. She was also having a super alert kind of day so she wasn’t really into the whole sleeping aspect of the session. But we persevered (and did a lot of rocking, swaying and swaddling) and generally just worked around her schedule and I am so happy with how her photos have turned out!
Having Lena and her Mom in the studio was extra special for me because Lena’s puppy big brother and my puppers happen to be besties! Funny tidbit, although I had met Lena a few times before her session, this was actually the first time I had seen her entire cute little face. She normally slept in her carrier through all of Gus and Kaylee’s playdates, and when I am outside of the studio, I am a firm believer in never disturbing a sleeping babe. So all of that to say that it really was really great to be able to see and hold her while we did her session!
With Lena being a little older than the ‘recommended age’ for newborn photos, I had lots of wrapped setups ready to go for this little one just in case she didn’t want to sleep, which was a really good thing because she fought hard against any and all sleepiness throughout her entire session, but that’s okay.
I am oh so very glad Little Lena came for newborn photos and that we were able to work with her schedule to get these super cute photos of an even cuter little girl!!
