At about 6 weeks old, Lena was a little older than most of the babies we get in the studio. She was also having a super alert kind of day so she wasn’t really into the whole sleeping aspect of the session. But we persevered (and did a lot of rocking, swaying and swaddling) and generally just worked around her schedule and I am so happy with how her photos have turned out!
Where do I even start with this session?! It was lovely for so many reasons, but I think the most obvious one is this adorable little guy!! Little Jax was such a rock star in front of the camera, but that really shouldn’t be a surprise to me at all as his parents were equally amazing during both their engagement session and wedding photos!
I make a little game plan before each newborn arrives in the studio (it consists of jot-notes on a post-it which gets stuck to my studio cart). It contains both a best case and worst case scenario. Little Jack, with all his cuteness and sleepiness, definitely fell into the first category!!
Little Quinn was a very special visitor to the studio last month as her first year portraits (and cake smash!) marked the fourth session with this amazing family. Following their engagement session and wedding I was so, so happy to be able to help this amazing couple announce their pregnancy. So with all of that, being able to capture this adorable little girl’s cake smash was pretty darn awesome.
It’s pretty special to me when I get to photograph someone from my old career in the private engineering sector. Not only because it allows me to catch up with them, but also because the ones that tend to reach out about doing a session are the ones who understood the desire to leave the company (and possibly even start something of their very own). Lee was definitely one of those people so when she and her husband Ruwan reached out about their little girl’s newborn session I was so freaking excited!
