Gilkey Glacier

As I mentioned before, we took a helicopter ride around the Juneau Icefields while we were in Alaska. During that flight we stopped on the Gilkey Glacier for about 15 minutes. We walked around the crunchy ground (it sounded like popcorn), took in the sights and drank glacier water right from the source (FYI – it was delicious and very, very cold).
The above shots aren’t edited very much at all. The water and ice really were that insanely blue! Everything about that place was beautiful and honestly, the photos don’t do it justice. I may have mentioned this before, but I don’t think any photo could do this place justice.
