Stewart Park Winter Engagement Session: Kaitlin + Andrew

I love getting to shoot in the same location during different seasons. It’s almost like getting to photograph there for the very first time as everything just looks so different. Especially when it is an area that has been designed to have something for every season, like Stewart Park has. A few gorgeous, pink blossoms trees in the Spring, tons of green foliage (and willow trees!) in the Summer, my favourite deciduous trees in the Fall for all those wonderful colours, and beautiful wide open spaces mixed with the flowing water in the winter. And of course, all of the architectural details throughout the park help out year round.

So all of this means that no matter what time of the year a client asks to do their session there, I am 100% up for it! In fact, I was super excited to head back there when Kaitlin + Andrew requested it for their engagement session.

But, as I have mentioned before, literally any location can be instantly turned into a magical one with the right people. And even a great location can be made infinitely better when you toss in two people who are as awesome as Kaitlin + Andrew. I absolutely loved getting to tromp around in the snow with these two. They were so easy-going about their session and there weren’t even that many comments about how cold it was without their warm winter jackets, not that I would have blamed them at all as that good ol’ Canadian winter wind can be quite bitter to say the least.

Kaitlin + Andrew did an truly fantastic job throughout their entire engagement session and I am so excited to not only share their photos with all of you, but to get to work with them again on their wedding day next year as I just know it is going to be amazing!
