North Gower Wedding: Alison + Ryan

I mentioned in their sneak peek that Alison + Ryan planned an intimate civil ceremony in the Ottawa area. It was an elegant affair with just their family included. Afterwards we met up to do some family and couple portraits and I was so honoured to be able to be part of this special day.

We drove out to Alfred Taylor Recreation Facilities in North Gower and found this absolutely dreamy weeping willow tree (I LOVE willow trees!!!). And in keeping with their idea of simple elegance, I decided to do the vast majority of their photos in and around that lovely tree (it also had the added advantage of keeping everyone in the shade). Alison had picked out a wonderful calla lily bouquet in one of my favourite colour combos and I had a great time incorporating her beautiful tattoos into their portraits.
