This past summer Dave and I woke up freakishly early and drove into Quebec. It was still dark and all I really wanted was to go back to bed for several more hours, but we didn’t. Instead we went to the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival to shoot the early morning balloon launch. Don’t get me wrong, the festival was great and once we were there I was wide awake and very happy, but if you know me at all, you know that I am NOT a morning person. That being said, I have finally gotten around to going through some of the shots and decided to use it for this week’s SOOC feature.
Above is the Before (left) and After (right) of one of the shots from the Hot Air Balloon Festival. As you can see, I really just brightened it up a bit and let the bright colours of the balloons do the rest to make the image nice. This is an example of a photo that really didn’t need much work at all.
