It may have been wedding date number 3, super stinking hot out, and threatening storms all day long, but none of that matter because Chantal + Brendan finally got hitched!! And we were just truly honoured to be a part of it all.
Our day started off pretty wonderfully. As we were setting up the photo booth for later in the evening, the amazing groom came and delivered some perfectly crunchy, delicious green grapes for me. That may seem like an odd thing to bring your wedding photographer, but this was the first wedding we captured after announcing that I was pregnant and I had just shared a couple days earlier that one of the few things I was consistently able to eat were green grapes. But they had to be crunchy green grapes. Anyway, long story medium, the bride + groom read that and tasked a family member with finding me some so I would have something to eat throughout the day. It was incredibly thoughtful and kind and also extremely appreciated. Those grapes ended up being one of the few things I ate that day as there wasn’t much that was sitting well with me. And it ended up resulting in us bringing a bag of grapes for me for the rest of the wedding season.
Now to the actual focus of the day, Chantal + Brendan’s wedding! It really was a gorgeous day and we had an absolute blast. I already knew from our previous chats and of course their engagement session, that the couple themselves are two of the most wonderful people ever, but their friends and family are equally amazing. They had us in stitches all day long, such a great way to spend a Saturday!
Some of my favourite moments revolved around Brendan’s daughter as they really embraced the concept that this wedding was not only about the bride and groom getting married, but about the three of them becoming a family. They included her in the ceremony and a few extra family portraits as well. It was really sweet and she was amazing all day long too. The moment that had in me in literal tears though was the father daughter dance, so much so that the song became one that we sang and/or played for the baby in-utero for the rest of my pregnancy.
Thanks to all of these amazing vendors who helped make this wedding possible!
