Jessica + Adam truly made planning a wedding day during covid look like a walk in the park. They were on the ball the entire time and, with the help of the vendors, put together a gorgeous day filled with endless love and laughter! And we were just truly honoured to be a part of it all.
What’s better than capturing the wedding day of an absolutely wonderful couple at a beautiful venue? Capturing the wedding day of a wonderful couple at a beautiful venue AND including their dog in the first look, ceremony and portraits!!
When Niki first mentioned that she and Steve would be including their pup Oscar in their wedding day I was completely on board. And then when I got to meet this happy puppers I was completely smitten with him and instantly understood why he HAD to be a part of the big day!
I seem to have just the worst luck when it comes to weddings at Andrew Haydon Park. And just so we’re clear, by that I mean the worst luck with the weather at weddings here. I have shot many here now and literally all but one have endured a rather wet, rainy day. And even the one that didn’t get rain, got an intense heat wave (to the degree that people were started to feel ill despite the copious amounts of water we had around).
But despite the less than ideal weather conditions, Annie + Chris didn’t let it get them down for too long as they definitely made the most of the day and our time together!
Jenn + Steve’s wedding day started off with clear weather, then moved into freezing rain/slush, and ended up having a mini-blizzard right in the middle of it! In fact, at one point in the day, the snowflakes were so dense and large that they looked completely fake (like they were made of foam and a wind machine)! Jenn wanted snow on her wedding day and boy-oh-boy did she get it! This wonderfully sweet couple definitely made the most of it during their portrait portion of the day! Getting completely drenched by the snow was definitely worth the shots we got out in that less than pleasant weather.⠀
We are pretty lucky in that we get to capture wedding days for couples who are madly in love with one another. Pretty much every wedding day includes me adoring how they smile when they catch each others eye or how they make each other laugh with the slightest of ease. But Lisa + Joe’s wedding day seemed extra special for some reason, and honestly I couldn’t quite put my finger on it until it came time for the ring exchange during their ceremony.
