Dear 2017, Thank You
For the past few years I have posted a Thank You to all of the couples we worked with over the year. It is hard to find new words to describe how lucky we are to be able to capture these big days and really when it comes right down to it I think a heartfelt Thank You is the best I have.
Behind the Scenes of 2017
So I’ve never done a behind the scenes (BTS) post before, and that is mostly because I really don’t like most photos of myself while I am shooting. I tend not to think about anything other than the image to be honest and that makes for some very, very unflattering images.
But working with Dave as my second shooter at pretty much every wedding we were a part of this year means we have a large number of images of each other. Whether it be because we just ended up in the other’s photo, or because we were intentionally taking photos of the other while they worked, there were enough of them that I felt I would share a few of them here with you.
One Year Later: A Look Back at How I Became a Full-Time Photographer
One year ago today I was working my very last day as an Environmental Engineer. It was at a job I had worked so hard for after finishing university and one that I was pretty darn good at, if I do say so myself (which I have to right now since I am the one writing this). But after years of disappointment and unhappiness, I realized it was time to move on and follow my dreams (and my heart).
