I don’t consider myself photogenic – I never have. In addition to this, I have always had a self-esteem issue in that I really don’t have much self-esteem whatsoever. This has gotten better over the last decade or so as I have surrounded myself with a loving and supportive group of friends (not being in high school anymore was definitely a bonus to my self-esteem too). And although it is cliche, not really wanting to be in front of the camera was in fact one of the reasons I started operating the camera to begin with. It started so long ago and has continued so persistently that I struggle to find photos of myself when I write my annual updates as it is rare that I document myself in my adventures. It is something I have noticed, and am working on.

It’s Spring! Farewell
To chills and colds!
The blushing, girlish

Pretty in Pink
I love the Spring. The city becomes full of beautiful flowers and blossoming trees and all this happens without it being too warm or hot. But, the beauty of Spring is still a little ways off as it is still only February. So, in lieu of blossoming beauty around us, I have put together a few pretty (and pink) images from the Ottawa Arboretum that I captured during one of my many visits there last Spring.
Florida Night Photography
We drove around the Clearwater area and stumbled upon a house with some fabulously lit trees. We stopped, set up the tripod and took a few shots. Luckily, no one in the area seemed to notice, or perhaps they just didn’t care as I was clearly aimed at the tree(s) and not the houses themselves.
We also did some driving around the Sunshine Skyway Bridge at night. At the speed we were going, the result was pretty interesting.
