Today is my hubby’s birthday!
He is an amazing man who I love with all my heart and soul. I know it is cliche, but I honestly don’t know where I would be without him.
Happy Birthday Hubby!The above photos are from a morning we spent with some co-workers at the NCC park across from Billings Bridge here in Ottawa. The area is great and the weather was absolutely gorgeous!! And I couldn’t resist taking a few shots of Dave when he climbed up into the tree with his ‘Dutch shirt’ on.
I wrote this post earlier this month and scheduled it for today as we are actually on our cruise to Alaska right now. I entered his birthday as a special event in our cruise timeline. I am not entirely sure what that means, or if we get anything from the cruise line because of it, but I am hoping they do something nice for him because he certainly deserves it.

Family Portraiture at Maplelawn Gardens and Keg Manor
Yesterday I had the privilege of joining the Harrigan clan (so technically they weren’t all Harrigans, but you get the point) as they celebrated at the Maplelawn Gardens and Keg Manor. We took some family photos before they enjoyed their dinner at the Keg (I am going to assume it was delicious because the Keg pretty much always is). Below is a little sneak peek.
Normally, I only post one photo for my sneak peeks, but I couldn’t resist the below photos (particularly the one on the right).
The parents of these little guys came equipped with bribes to keep them in good spirits for the photos (super smart!!). When asked if he liked his sucker (aka candy bribe), this little charmer winked and gave us all the thumbs up – it was pretty awesome. He spent the rest of the session turning over rocks, looking for worms and bugs.
Event Photography: Uithyaa’s Sweet 16
A couple week’s ago I had the pleasure of photographing Uithyaa’s Sweet 16 birthday party on behalf of a fellow photographer, Smiles Photography. It was a great time filled with family and friends and some really great food (including a fantastic cake)!

Couple Session in Ottawa Greenbelt: Chris & Jason
Chris and Jason are absolutely adorable! I got to spend the afternoon walking through the snow-covered forest with them and was able to see the joy that is brought to both of them each and every minute they spend together. It warmed my heart, which was nice because it was really cold out!!
Thank you both for letting me shoot you at this stage of your relationship. I look forward to many more great photos and memories.
