I try not to schedule too many double header wedding weekends for us as they make for very slow moving days afterwards as my body recuperates (two weddings in a row leads to some extremely sore feet and legs, and perhaps more importantly, a brain that doesn’t really function at full capacity). When I first meet with our couples it is normally pretty easy for me to get a feel for how their wedding day is going to go. And by that I mean, is it going to be a super relaxed and chill kind of day, a hilariously fun kind of day, a well-oiled machine kind of day, etc., etc., etc. (or some combination thereof). So when I sat down with Angela + Paul all those months ago, I knew right away what kind of day their wedding was going to be, and that was an absolutely incredible kind of day!!
My favourite wedding days always end up being the ones that we got through referrals. I think this is because we have some of the very best couples and an absolutely fantastic circle of friends who suggest us to their friends and family. And since they are acquainted with such great people, they tend to be pretty darn great themselves.
There is nothing sweeter than a classic, intimate wedding and Strathmere Inn really is the perfect place for it. The architecture, styling and overall feel of the venue is so well suited to this type of wedding and in my experience, this place also attracts just the best couples!!
We like to meet with all of our couples before their big day. We do this to make sure that we are a good fit for one another, and I knew from the instant IÂ met with Renee that she and her now husband, Jon, were perfectly suited to our approach to weddings.
