Wedding DIY #3 – Wedding Kits

You can pick up Wedding Kits just about anywhere, craft stores (e.g. Michaels) and even some superstores (e.g. Walmart). They range in what they include as you can pick up ones that are just for invitations or ones that include all of your paper needs (invitations, escort cards, programs, favour boxes, etc). The kits are usually pretty simple, and if you can set aside the time needed to make everything yourself, you can save yourself some serious dough!

Materials: The kit itself, scissors, glue
Directions: Open up  your kit, take everything out and follow the kit-specific instructions inside.

The below examples are from Nico & Alison’s Wedding. They had their ceremony and reception at Strathmere here in Ottawa and the damask print they chose for their invitations, escort cards and favour boxes matched their not only the elegance of the location, but also their black and white colour scheme.

The handwritten names on the escorts cards were a nice touch, and very well done. When everything was set out next to the bone white china at Strathmere, it made for a beautiful table setting.
