The Make-A-Wish foundation is such a wonderful charity and we have been so lucky and humbled to be a part of not only their fundraising events, but also their granted wishes. Every time they email us about donating our time, we jump at the opportunity to give back, and Griffin’s wish was absolutely no exception.
I mentioned in his sneak peek, that Griffin’s wish was granted through the hard work of the Make-A-Wish team and some amazing sponsors. Together they through an out-of-this-world space-themed party (see what I did there) for Griffin complete with the perfect cake, fantastic decorations and super fun activities. There were even some special guests who really excited all of the kids – Stormtroopers!! They were great sports on this day, and chose not to fight against the Rebellion, but rather to have some fun (and some delicious burgers) with Griffin and his friends.
There was an extra surprise in the form of a butterfly release. This was an extra special treat for everyone (us included) since they are just majestic creatures. Everyone got a butterfly to release and Griffin had assistance from the presenter to help ensure his butterfly stuck around for a few snap of our shutter. It was pretty amazing.
After some delicious food, face painting and spaceship decorating, it was time to party, and boy-oh-boy did these folks know how to have a good time!!
