Glen Mar Golf & Country Club Wedding: Marilyn + Russell

Marilyn + Russell planned an absolutely stunning wedding. The traditional elegance showed through so beautifully with the white and purple colour palette and the decked out hall complete with lots of drapery, up-lighting and twinkle lights galore! It was so much fun capturing all the details of their day.

We were lucky to have fantastic weather all day long (including a gorgeous sunset we used to get some unique ring shots), unlike the previous scouting mission I had made to the venue. The grounds of the Glen Mar Golf & Country Club were a perfect backdrop to match the style of their day and Marilyn + Russell definitely nailed every second of our time together during their portraits (plus we got to ride around in golf carts, which is always super fun and a nice break from walking in the heat of mid-August)!!

But more important than any wedding detail or portrait awesomeness was family. Yes, family was definitely of the utmost importance to both Marilyn + Russell on their wedding day. From incorporating them in the ceremony to the longer than normal amount of time dedicated to family photos during multiple parts of the day, their wedding seemed to be centred around making sure their family was not only present, but having a great time. You could tell that the two of them deeply cared for each member of their family and that each family-member felt the same for this lovely couple. It was so heart-warming to see the interactions between everyone and to hear all the well wishes to the newlyweds.
