Remember that really awesome surprise proposal during the Make-A-Wish Rope for Hope event earlier this month? Well a couple days ago I got to hang out with Shanna + Gilles again to capture their engagement session and boy-oh-boy, did they ever nail this shoot!
The session got bumped a day from its original schedule because of the forecasted thunderstorm, and even though it didn’t end up storming on that day, I am still super glad we moved it as that first day was just so muggy – blech, no thank you! And, as luck would have it, we ended up having some really lovely weather for the actual session with a cloud-filled sky, no rain to speak of and a refreshing breeze every now and then, so it worked out quite nicely, if I do say so myself.
And of course, any evening spent strolling around the arboretum is a pretty great evening indeed, especially when you have such lovely company. As I chatted about with Shanna Gilles during their session, the arboretum is always a good spot for photos in general, but I particularly like it when the choice to shoot there has a reason or meaning. And for these two it made complete sense as they live just minutes from the park in Little Italy. And this of course meant that we got to spend the second part of their session in their neighbourhood, which I really loved!!
Shanna + Gilles were an absolute real dream to photograph as they really did nail every minute in front of the lens. And to make things even better, these two are truly just such kind, thoughtful people. I can’t wait to share more photos from their awesome engagement session, but for now I will just leave this little sneak peek here for you all to enjoy.
