This past weekend was not only a great one because Dave and I decided to take some time to just relax and basically do nothing for a couple days, but it was also great because we were a part of the Tie the Knot Wedding Show. We were so happy to be part of this show again this year and had such a great time chatting with all the wonderful couples planning their wedding days. We also got to chat with some of the truly amazing people in the wedding industry in Ottawa, and that is always a blast!
To be honest, our booth setup hasn’t changed very much at all over the last few years. In fact, the only real change in the booth between last year and this year are our prints and albums. Although, we did add our handmade Photo Booth into the design (sadly it took the place of a chair we used to bring, so sitting inside the booth is no longer an option for us). I am still absolutely in love with our wall (although I think it might need a fresh coat of paint before the next show – let’s see if I actually get around to doing that though) and with the addition of some fresh greenery, our table has ever looked better (in my opinion at least). Big thanks to Capital Florist for providing the greenery this year – and extra special thanks for filling in a shelf under our TV that I had completely forgotten about, I love the attention to detail she puts into all of her work!!
I didn’t have a ton of time to get around the show and grab shots, mostly because Dave and I were a little slow getting out of the house Saturday morning. But I did find a little bit of time to tour the other booths and man oh man, everyone really did bring their A-game this year!! The styled decor booths were absolutely phenomenal including this one from Kennedy Event Planning and Sage Designs. I think there’s absolutely no question that this design is a real show stopper for sure!!
And of course, I found time to snag a couple shots of our lovely friends at Opportunity Knocks Events. Once again, these talented ladies designed and built a gorgeous centrepiece for their booth. And when mixed with their brand new logo – it looked absolutely stunning!
Not only did I grab a few photos, but Sweet Clementines provided us with a take-out box of their absolutely scrumptious cupcakes! I would like to say we had a bunch of friends over who helped us devour all of those goodies, but in reality, Dave and I definitely destroyed that box of cupcakes in no time at all. There is a small handful left, but my guess is that those will be gone by the end of the day.
We didn’t get a chance to make it around the entirety of the show with our camera, but we did grab a few shots here and there including some from Andrea Mueller’s Fine Jewellery, Revelle Bridal, Stor by Margot, and Cellar 82 (and if you look closely Chalked by Mabz is hiding behind some beautiful florals which were done by Pollen Nation).
All in all, it was another wonderful year at Tie the Knot and I am really looking forward to touching base with the couples we chatted with at the show.
If you attended the show and entered our contest for a free engagement session, keep an eye on your inbox as those emails are going out shortly.
