So I started writing the sneak peek blog post for Tricia + Branden’s engagement session at Lansdowne park a little earlier this week. However, I kept getting super distracted with a variety of things and only got the time to finish it up today. But then I figured, why do a sneak peek of their session when the photos are done and I could just share the whole post here from the get go?!
Tricia emailed me a couple days before the session asking about whether or not the weather was going to be a problem. After looking things up online, we moved the session a little earlier that day, but nothing significant. And when I got to Lansdowne ahead of the shoot to check things out and get a game plan, the weather looked wonderful! The sky was a beautiful blue with whispy clouds here and there, and it was a nice cool temperature that meant we would’t get too hot (or sunburnt). And then I turned around and saw the storm clouds rolling in. In the end, we really only felt a couple drops (although it did start raining on my way home afterwards), so we were lucky there, and despite the gusts of wind these two absolutely nailed their photos!!
Lansdowne really is a great backdrop for this type of session as it offers some great architectural features mixing new and old styles and of course it has that wonderful urban feel with the restaurants and storefronts. I really had a super fun time strolling around the park with these two. Branden and I even got to chat about our work at the site before it was finished as I used to worked for the company involved with the demo and hazardous materials on-site and he worked there during the construction phases.
We got through the photos a little faster than usual as I really didn’t want the rain to come in before we had gotten a chance to go everywhere we wanted, and Tricia + Branden really were troopers dealing with the wind, crowds and of course me.
