Ottawa Studio Newborn Photography: Leela

As part of their prep for the session, I ask all parents about their colour preferences for the shoot. This helps me plan and pick out most everything before the shoot so we are ready to rock as soon as the wee one settles when they arrive to the studio. And when Muditha requested whites, pinks, and florals for Little Leela’s session I was over the moon as these are by far my favourite colours and patterns!

But honestly, this gorgeous little babe would have been able to pull off virtually any colour palette and still come out looking absolutely adorable! In fact, I fell head over heels in love with Little Baby Leela the second she got in the studio. And I mean, how could I not?! She was just the cutest little thing with all that beautiful hair and those pouty little lips.

She did have a couple moments where she popped out of a pose and/or needed to be rocked back to sleep. But pretty much every little baby who comes to the studio needs a couple of breaks during their session. The real question is how well and long do they take to settle back into that nice sleep, and this little one was great at that! She settled back in so nicely each and every time, so we were able to still get those poses and lots of options for Mom and Dad too! And as a special bonus (for me at least), I didn’t get peed on during this session. It’s a weird thing to be happy about, but any other newborn photographers will feel my joy and excitement about this, haha!
