Babies are super cute and all, and I love all the tiny humans who visit me and my newborn studio, but this puppy session is seriously the cutest thing I have ever photographed!! I mean, come on, seven tiny little puppies inside a classic red wagon, it doesn’t get better than this!!
Parent photos are such a special addition to newborn sessions. Not only do they give some great photos of the brand new (and/or expanded family), but they also give you a great scale for seeing just how tiny this new baby really is.
And although a lot of parents take the first couple weeks off from work, it is also pretty common that one parent (more often than not, Dad) has just started going back to work just as we schedule the session. And it’s for this reason that I tend to do parent photos first thing. That way, if someone needs to head back to work, they can easily do that without missing out on the family photo.
This is exactly what happened for Mackenzie’s session as Dad was able to leave and head back to work as he had really only just started back the previous day.
Even after photographing the session, editing the photos and now writing the blog post I am still having a hard time believing that I got to work with twins so early on in my studio newborn career. And I am in even more disbelief of how well the session went. But what I have absolutely no questions about whatsoever is how insanely adorable these identical twin girls are! Zoey and Skye were such troopers during their session, and I am so grateful to have been able to capture these precious photos of them for their amazing parents.
Sometimes newborn babies visiting the studio decide they don’t want to sleep. They show up and the second I get their little outfits off they wake right up and seem to want to stay that way. This is exactly what happened during Little Jack’s session as he woke right up as we started things.
Despite the smile on her face, this adorable little girl really wasn’t as into her session as it may seem in this photo. Little Piper really wasn’t a fan of being unwrapped but thanks to a nice cozy swaddle we still got some really great images from the day!
