Temple's-Country-Wedding-Sugar-Bush-Winter-Wedding-Stephanie-Beach-Photography Winter weddings can be a little tricky. Of course it is cold and we need to adjust how we work outside to make sure no one gets frostbite, but there is also that pesky sun. The shorter days and earlier sunsets mean we end up with less daylight for outdoor photos, and if you aren’t super keen on having a first look (which is always our first suggestion on how to work with the shorter days), it can be a little tricky to get everything captured in the best lighting. But worry not because there are always solutions and we can work pretty darn quickly when we need to and that is exactly what we did for Alexis + Peter’s winter wedding!

The weather was actually really good for Alexis + Peter’s wedding day. There was barely any snow falling from the sky, although there was still tons on the ground of course! And although it was a little on the chilly side, it wasn’t so bad, considering it was mid-February. But everyone did so well given the colder temperatures. So much so that we not only got wedding party and Bride + Groom photos outside, but a bunch of family photos out there too!

But the thing that made this wedding day so lovely was of course the people! We loved getting to work with this amazingly sweet and caring couple and to get to hang out with their friends + family again! We had met some of their family last year when we captured their surprise proposal at Upper Canada Village, but getting to see them all together on such a happy day was a real pleasure. A huge thank you to Alexis + Peter for choosing us to capture their wedding and allowing us to spend such a lovely day with all of the people they love the most!!
