From their stunning backyard ceremony to the incredibly heartwarming (and tear-jerking) moments during their reception, I honestly can’t think of a single thing that could possibly need changing, and that takes into consideration the fact that the bride took a wee tumble down a hill during family portraits (luckily she was neither hurt nor was her dress dirtied).

Almonte Wedding: Tarah + Derek

Almonte-Wedding-Stephanie-Beach-PhotographyIt seems so fitting that it is raining as I write this blog post as that was like an unofficial extra theme of Tarah + Derek’s wedding day. It was raining when we arrived at prep and it poured pretty much the rest of the day. But honestly, I don’t think anyone really cared. I mean, at the end of the day these two wonderful people were married and everyone had a great time – and really, isn’t that what really matters?!

Mill of Kintail and Holiday Inn Kanata Wedding: Carolyn + Matthew

Kanata Holiday Inn Wedding Stephanie Beach PhotographyWhen planning a wedding there are certain time frames when it comes to booking vendors. The first is normally the venue itself, then, shortly thereafter, the wedding photographer. And all of this normally about a year before the wedding day. Our current average for booking is about 8 to 9 months before the big day, which gives them lots of time to figure out all the details of their pending nuptials.

Carolyn + Matthew did things a little faster than that.
