My dad grew up with 4 siblings, which for me and my brother meant we grew up with a lot of cousins. But due to a bunch of age gaps between us, I mostly grew up with a smaller handful of my cousins in the school years after mine.

Brockville Engagement Session: Lisa + Joe
My brother played a lot of sports and since our town wasn’t big enough for multiple teams, he was pretty much always on teams with his friends. This meant that I spent summers at the baseball diamond and winters at the hockey rink. Luckily, a bunch of his friends had younger siblings for me to hang out with during the games and during out-of-town tournaments we often would watch the younger kids in the hotels.

Brockville Engagement Session: Lisa + Joe, Sneak Peek
So I have come to the realization that I talk about the weather a lot on my blog. Perhaps that is because my business often has me making small talk for the first bit of my sessions, or because it is the easiest thing to chat about when you are meeting someone for the first time and those facts mean the topic naturally makes its way onto my blog. Or perhaps it is because I get pretty lucky with weather most of the time (*knock on wood*).

Hardy Park Engagement Session: Jenn + Donny
It was shortly after I got my driver’s license that I realized just how small a town I lived in. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great place to grow up and is still a wonderful town, but as a teenager, it was small, very small. There wasn’t much to do during the evenings where my friends and I managed to tear ourselves away from whatever basement we were watching movies in, we would end up driving around more or less aimlessly. We would often end up driving near the waterfront in Brockville and then either driving or walking along the Boardwalk. I am not sure why we always ended up there, but we did. So when Jenn + Donny mentioned Hardy Park for their engagement session I was definitely up for it!

Hardy Park Engagement Session: Jenn + Donny, Sneak Peek
So, the warm weather sure is taking its sweet time getting here! But I’m not really complaining, the weather now it a whole lot better than the dead of winter, and to be honest, I am more of a Fall and Spring kind of person anyway. That being said, I was really hoping that the trees would fill up a little bit before Jenn + Donny’s session came around.
