Finding the right place for your engagement session can sometimes be a little tricky, and for a lot of our couples we end up sending a list of a few recommended places for them to consider. But to make that list I always ask the same first question – are you thinking of a more rural or urban location?, as that helps me narrow things down a bit. And although I offered up a few rural locations when I first chatted with Chantal + Brandon about options, I knew from the get-go that they would end up with something more urban. Because, well, as you can clearly see, Chantal + Brandon definitely fit beautifully into the urban scene and the Byward Market was such a great fit for their session!

The last couple months have been absolutely stuffed with engagement and portrait sessions – and if I am being completely honest, they have been some of my absolute favourites ever!! And this isn’t even because I have gotten to stroll around some of the best locations in Ottawa, or because I am truly loving the images I have been creating, but instead it is because of the amazing people I have gotten to work with. Like Sabrina + Colin, who I feel I could have walked and chatted with for ages!!
I love how kind the wedding industry experts are here in Ottawa! When I reached out to Stephanie and Kiley from Opportunity Knocks Events I knew our shoot would be great, but it was so much better than I had imagined and everyone involved was so awesome and inspirational. All of their hard work and talent really made shooting the session a breeze!
I know I mention that we are working on awesome stuff now and then and then never really get to mention what it is … well this time I get to share some of that awesomeness with all of you!
