Once again, I don’t know where to start when it comes to this wedding. There have been so many wonderful couples this year who have waited so long for their wedding day to come, and Danielle + Trevor were definitely in that list. In fact, I really questioned myself when I went to write up their wedding day Instagram post using their engagement session photo because that session was all the way back in 2018!!

Jabulani Vineyard Wedding: Brittany + Mike
Can we talk about speeches for just a second? So there have been many times during my career as a wedding photographer where I have felt the pains of a long, drawn-out, boring speech. Or seen a fellow shy person struggle through a speech they really didn’t feel comfortable making. But the speeches at Brittany + Mike’s wedding were none of these things and instead they were utterly brilliant and so ridiculously funny! Every venue has house rules that get read by the MC before the night really begins, and although I have heard some entertaining versions before, never before have they actually been side-splitting funny!

Century Events Wedding: Kaitlin + Andrew

I feel like every time I sit down to write a blog post for one of our weddings I draw a blank. And it’s not because I didn’t have a wonderful time at the wedding or anything like that, the exact opposite really – the day was so amazing and fun that I am completely lost for words! This is definitely the case with Kaitlin + Andrew’s wedding day. They were so amazing to work with, and their wedding party was a complete and utter blast that I don’t even know where to start with how much fun Dave and I had throughout their entire day!
Stewart Park & Code’s Mill Wedding: Michelle + Colin
Wow, somehow it is only June and yet Dave and I have already captured some truly gorgeous weddings of some of the very best people ever!! Every year we get luckier and luckier with the couples we have as they really are just the bestest ever and I am so eternally grateful that we get to work with them all! And of course Michelle + Colin were no exception. Not only are they super adorable and all around gorgeous people, but they are sweet, thoughtful and funny! I loved basically everything about their wedding day!

Strathmere Lodge Wedding: Kristen + Chris
Whenever Dave and I have to write something sentimental as a couple it always goes the same way: I write down some general ideas in jot note form and then Dave improves on it. I get down the main points I think we should get across and any critical details that have to be included. I normally take a pass at writing a few sentences, maybe even an entire paragraph, but once that is done Dave takes all of my thoughts, adds his own and then turns it into an actual written (or spoken) piece and it ends up being beautiful. There are normally some changes on my end, particularly if it is supposed to sound like me and not him, but he is definitely the one that makes it actually sound great. You see, although I can write pretty well (or at least well enough), Dave can write beautifully from the heart. He has a way with that sort of thing whereas I can sometimes struggle with getting my point across.
I mention this because at multiple points during Kristen + Chris’ wedding day I was reminded of Dave’s heart-spoken nature as Chris had the same abilities. When he spoke about his family and of course his new bride, every word was said with intention and his words were so incredibly meaningful and completely heartwarming.
