I have talked before about how lovely a venue Temple’s Sugar Bush is. It has such a great atmosphere and some of the very best people in the industry working there. And the surrounding land is absolutely gorgeous – a complete haven for nature lovers like myself.

I love it when couples get us to capture both their engagement and wedding days. It not only lets us know the best way to work with them in front of our cameras (their best angles, how to get them to genuinely smile, etc.), but it also allows me to gauge just how much sarcasm I can get away with throughout each session. And for Samantha + David, I learned that I can get away with a whole lot of it (and they will throw it right back at me)!!

I love it when couples bring along two different outfits to their engagement session: one more casual and relaxed; and the other more formal and dressed up. It allows us to essentially get two different batches of photos in one session. So when Carla + Jean-Francois asked if they could switch outfits partway through their session, I was all for it!

I absolutely love all the hiking trails and walking paths Ottawa has to offer. All of the NCC Greenbelt trails make options for engagement sessions absolutely endless! That being said, I definitely do have my favourites and the Lime Kiln trail is absolutely on that list.

The Fall has always been my absolute favourite season. The leaves turning bright yellow, orange and red. The sound as they crunch under your feet. And definitely the fact that you can wear sweaters and hoodies again.
So with that said, Fall engagement sessions are definitely some of my favourite since they combine all of that with photographing lovely couples!
