Not only does this charity do such amazing work in our community, but the people who work and volunteer there are truly some of the best in the world! So when they called us and asked if we wanted to be a part of a very special campaign we not only said yes, but were super happy to do so.

You may think that after covering the Make-A-Wish Wine for Wishes event for so many years in a row that it would get a little redundant and boring for us, but boy-oh-boy would you ever be wrong! Wine for Wishes may have the same idea each year in that it serves scrumptious food, wine and beer from all sorts of local vineyards, breweries and restaurants, but each year offers us something new to cover (plus the idea of food and beverages is pretty foolproof, right?!).

Make-A-Wish Wine for Wishes event was last Thursday evening and it was absolutely fantastic! Although, that really shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone since it has a great track record of being such a great night for everyone involved.
Valentine’s Day landed on a weekday this year and that resulted in Dave and I celebrating the holiday on the weekend rather than on the day itself. Although to be fair, we don’t really celebrate the holiday most years, as we really just have dinner at home and watch a movie or Netflix together, which sounds sweet and all, but it isn’t really any different than most nights. Anyway, the delayed celebration meant I was able to do something pretty darn special on Valentine’s Day with some incredibly amazing couples.
Once the gorgeous Fall season is done, so is our regular busy season. As we are primarily wedding photographers, our off-season starts up basically when winter starts to show up and we have far fewer weddings. But it is always such a nice treat to be able to wrap up our busy season by giving back and supporting one of the many wonderful charities in the area, Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario, by capturing their annual 3 Wishes Gala.
