Make-A-Wish is truly a wonderful charity and we love every minute of the time we spend with them either at their events or their granted wishes. This was our second year covering their Wine for Wishes event and we were so honoured they had us back.
We spent most of the evening getting shots of the spirits and food but my favourite moments from the night were when we got to chat with the guests and the volunteers at the event. So many of the guests were returnees from previous years and were just as excited to be there as we were! It was so nice to see. And of course, the absolutely amazing volunteers were equally excited. A lot of the volunteers we met were regulars who we had been able to meet at other events we covered last year, but it had been a little bit since we last saw them back in November, so it was really great to get a chance to catch up with them.
I mentioned in then sneak peek that there was some seriously delicious food – and that was definitely the truth. In fact, we now have several new restaurants added to our list of places we need to eat as this city has some really great chefs (and their teams of course) with some truly scrumptious entrees and desserts!
But through all of that, the charity and their amazing kids truly were the stars of the show – as they should be. With all of the proceeds from this great event going to this truly wonderful charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, it was so great to see another sold out event.
