The last little while has been a absolutely jam-packed with weddings, sessions and of course, seemingly endless editing. So much editing in fact, that I am having to really use my willpower to meet my personal deadlines as editing happens to be one of my least favourite parts of my job. But when I started working on Sabrina + Jeff’s engagement session, no willpower was needed to get through it pretty quickly as this session was just oh so fun and delicious too!
We started the session with a quick walk around the Arboretum but the part of their shoot I was really looking forward to was the picnic we had planned. We set up under one of my favourite willow trees and was absolutely ecstatic with all of the adorable little details they had brought along to incorporate into their photos. From crates, plates and pillows right down to a tiny bud vase, Sabrina + Jeff had thought of everything. And of course they had thought of the food too grabbing a few treats from the Art-Is-In Bakery.
I had an absolute blast capturing these two as they enjoyed a picnic, did some crossword puzzles and of course, read some good books (matching too!). But really, I just enjoyed spending my morning with these two wonderfully sweet people.
I’ve mentioned before how lucky Dave and I have been when it comes to the couples we have gotten to work with and Sabrina + Jeff really are such a great example of our luck. They are relatively calm and down-to-earth, kind and thoughtful, and the perfect people to share a snack with in the middle of the Arboretum. It is for these reasons (and so many other special touches) that I am super excited to spend more time with them next month as they celebrate their wedding day!!
