Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love a good romantic comedy. Even though they all have pretty much the exact same plot, and you know exactly who is going to end up together, I could still watch them over and over again!
One of my personal favourites is Sweet Home Alabama, and although it doesn’t star my girl Sandy, it does star the always lovely Reese Witherspoon. I mention this all because at a couple points in the movie it is mentioned that you don’t meet you soulmate when you’re ten. Well, how about meeting them around grade 10? Does that sound right Alyssa + David?
Now to be honest, I don’t actually know what grade Alyssa + David starting dating officially, but I do know it was all the way back in good old high school. In fact, during Alyssa’s prep when I was taking photos of all of her beautiful details, she handed me a second ring along side her engagement ring and let me know that it was the one that David had bought her when they were fifteen. How cute is that?!
But really, an adorable story like that shouldn’t have surprised me since I already knew these two were so freaking cute together. From our very first meeting and through their entire engagement session these two were so wonderful to work with and be around and the love that they have for each other is so abundantly clear. It really has been an absolute pleasure to work with them as they planned their wedding day.
And what a stunning wedding day it was. The details, the weather, the people – they were all pretty much perfect and absolutely gorgeous! And Alyssa in that dress: breathtakingly exquisite!
I mentioned in their sneak peek that Alyssa + David’s wedding day was just about the best way to end our 2017 wedding season and the sentiment holds true now too. Not only was their wedding the perfect way to end our season, but it was also an absolutely wonderful way to end my crazy, intense editing season. Getting through the long days/nights of editing to finish everything up was made so much easier remembering the fun, beauty and all the love.
Alyssa + David, thank you both so much for not only a super fun day, but for such a lovely end to what was already an absolutely incredible wedding season!
