I love milestone sessions! Not only do I get to hang out with wee babes just that little bit more before they grow up, I get to watch and document them as they do it!
Little Baby Leo came with his entire family and entourage for his 100 Days Milestone Session and it was so nice to be able to see his loved ones rally around him to celebrate this moment in his life. 100 Days is an important milestone in the Chinese culture as it represents the wish that the baby will live 100 years and reaches longevity, and it was such an honour to be able to capture this special day for this wonderful family!
If you have ever photographed, or really just been around, a baby in this age range you may have noticed that things could be a little tricky. They are super alert, so sleepy poses are pretty much impossible, but they are still growing their muscles so their neck can still be a wee bit wobbly. They can’t sit just yet, but most can do some amount of tummy time and it is that skill that we focused on the most with Leo because he was so good at it! These sessions tend to be super quick as baby’s attention span is pretty limited and there is still no reasoning with them once they decide they are done, haha! And Leo’s session was no different. I sped through the various setups I had prepared in hopes of getting as much variety to his gallery as possible and low and behold, this trooper got through everything I prepared for him! That being said, Little Leo was super duper serious and gave me no smiles at all. But that’s okay, because he was still so stinking cute!!
