Family sessions with little ones can sometimes be a little nerve-wracking for parents. Worrying about whether or not their tiny humans are going to cooperate and have fun during the session, or just have a tantrum. And then if the latter does happen, will they just be done for the entire session, or will they be consolable and come back around? It’s definitely stressful and can make any parent a little anxious. Luckily though, I’m pretty darn good with kids and babies and toddlers tend to like me (fingers crossed that I am not jinxing myself for my upcoming toddler-filled sessions). And that means I am normally able to comfort little ones and make sure they have a great time during their session. And hey, when all else fails, there is always good old fashion bribery (and there’s nothing wrong with that)!
So with all of that said, it didn’t surprise me when little Owen turned out to not be a really big fan of being told what to do during the McNally’s family session.
When it comes to babies some into the studio super sleepy and completely ready for their session, and others need a little extra time to get a snack (or occasionally have full meal), some cuddles and/or a little bit of awake time before they are set for their time in front of the camera. But lucky for me, Darling Baby Valerie fell into that first category and was ready for her session the moment she arrived!
Tanya + Scott’s engagement session was nothing if not filled with love and laughter! Honestly, they could not stop laughing, Tanya more so than Scott, but still, it was just such a joy to be around as laughter really is contagious! I really can’t think of any better way to spend an evening than walking around a beautiful area filled with nature and historic buildings with two souls as wonderful as Tanya + Scott!
Sometimes the photography Gods bless me with the most amazing sessions ever! The perfect weather (not too hot, not too cold), a beautiful blue sky with puffy white clouds for interest, pink blooms in the leafy trees, and a gorgeous couple full of laughter. This was definitely one of those sessions!!
So I am thinking Mother Nature might have just skipped Spring this year. First the season was super late with a cold April and May. And now it seems like it has been decided that since Spring was so late, we might as well just start Summer and forget all about it.
