I know I have said this before, but it really is just the most special thing for me to be able to capture the teeny babies of our previous wedding couples. Not only do I love snuggling the next generation, but I love getting to catch up with our couples as they start a new chapter of their lives together. All of this to say that Baby Wesley’s session was extra special as I got to catch up and hang out with his amazingly fun parents Sarah + Kelvin!Continue reading “Ottawa Studio Newborn Photography: Wesley”
I had a huge list of props, poses and outfits for Baby Luka. And this was after having cut it in half when I was prepping the studio. I was certain he wouldn’t get through it all, since the list was seriously massive, but not only was I determined to do as much as possible, I really couldn’t bear to go without any of the options.
Now to be fair, I do always over prep so that I am ready for both the worst case scenario, where they want nothing to do with non-swaddled photos, and best case scenario, where they are sleepy the entire time and fall into every pose effortlessly. So yeah, having more ready to go than I know we will get through is normal, but it had been so long since I had a baby boy in the studio that I really struggled choosing what items to use and what not to use.Continue reading “Ottawa Studio Newborn Session: Luka”
Their sneak peek was all about their four legged guest, Archer. And, in my opinion, he deserved the attention as he was just so awesome Jenna + Tim’s day. So cuddly, fluffy and soft and sweet as can be – and quite photogenic to boot! He wasn’t named Best Dog for nothing after all.
But the highlight of this wedding day really was the lovely couple themselves. Jenna + Tim are so wonderful and sweet.
The most important factor on any wedding day is the people. The lovely couple of course, but also the friends and family that help them celebrate their love. And when you are planning your day, you need to remember that some of the most important ‘people’ in your life have fur and four legs.
So apparently I never blogged the final images of the Make-A-Wish’s Annual Four Wishes Event, but that definitely doesn’t mean the event wasn’t absolutely amazing!
It was a bit chilly (thanks Mother Nature), and we definitely walked around the entire day with out coats and scarves on (okay, I wear a scarf all the time in non-Summer months, so saying I wore it the entire day probably doesn’t mean much), but it was oh worth it! We had so much fun and felt so lucky to be able to capture all of the amazing events that took place during the day.
