Sometimes babies just know you have specific plans in mind when it comes to their session and they decide they will do everything they can to squash those plans. That is exactly what Little Baby Myla did for her session. We had a great idea to replicate her big sister’s RCMP photo from her newborn session but with a slightly different spin to give each girl their own style. This main photo here has so much special meaning to me. I bought these tulips and made this special tulip headband for Charlotte and up until now she was the only babe to use this setup. That is until Seva’s mom requested it and I absolutely love that she did. It was so heartwarming to be able to recreate one of Charlie’s photos for another little one and Seva did so well with the photo!

My best friend growing up had four younger siblings on her mom’s side and whenever I would visit I always wondered how her mom did it. It seemed like it would be so tiring to keep them all entertained throughout the day, and completely overwhelming to go anywhere with all of the kids in tow. But she did, and she did it wonderfully. And The Roses are doing it wonderfully too. Their four kids are seriously some of the best listeners I have worked with. Every time I have had them in front of my camera they have done so well.

I’m always a little nervous when it comes to younger siblings’ sessions. Not because they are any different than firstborn newborn sessions, but because sometimes babies are worn out by the time we get through family and sibling photos and their solo photos don’t go as smoothly because of this. All of that said, Damien’s session was absolute perfection!

I’m throwing it way back with this blog post as Mariam and Ramy’s maternity session was photographed all the way back in 2021. It is one of the few blog posts that I have in my backlog that aren’t there because of our own pregnancy (and then the craziness that happens in those first couple years). Mariam and Ramy had asked that I not post their maternity photos until after their little one had arrived, but since I have photographed his newborn and first year photos and he is even bigger than that now, I think I could knock this one off my ‘to blog’ list safely now.
