Mariah + Benjamin’s day was pretty much a perfect day! From their stunning backyard ceremony to the incredibly heartwarming (and tear-jerking) moments during their reception, I honestly can’t think of a single thing that could possibly need changing, and that takes into consideration the fact that the bride took a wee tumble down a hill during family portraits (luckily she was neither hurt nor was her dress dirtied).

When I captured Sarah + Kelvin’s engagement session last winter I learned just how amazing they are in front of the camera, and although I didn’t really forgot that fact, I was very quickly reminded of just how fantastic they really are as soon as we had the two of them together again and in front of our lenses! Seriously guys, they are complete naturals! Such genuine emotion and adorableness I honestly just couldn’t get enough of it! I could have shot these two all day long! And that feeling was only compounded when I met the rest of their wedding party as these guys were just a ton of fun and made every second of this already wonderful day that much more awesome!

I have been putting off writing this blog post for so long now, but not because I don’t like writing or any of those sorts of reasons, no, I have been putting it off because there were so many amazing things that happened during Melissa + Rami’s wedding that I honestly don’t even know where to start! So, since these two truly wonderful people will be getting their photos a little later today, I figured I should probably get this post done so I just started at the beginning (a very good place to start).

There are just some weddings that completely take your breath away. It when it does it isn’t because of any one thing but rather a combination of all the wedding day elements. The decor, the dress, the venue, the other vendors, the food, etc. – every little element coming together is what makes a day wonderful, but what makes it breathtaking is the people – and Miranda + Jason surrounded themselves with some of the best people and they themselves were an absolute dream to work with!
Everyone was so anxious for Summer to get here, they just couldn’t wait for the warm weather to come and to be able to get those summer tans started. Me on the other hand, well I could have done with a bit more Spring. As pretty as Summer can be, I’m really not a huge fan. And one of the reason for that is because of the bugs! Summer to me equates to multiple months of whacking bugs and scratching the inevitable (and abundant) bites, and Brittany + Mike’s engagement session was the start of all of that for me this year as I came away with so many bites that I lost count. That being said, it was all so incredibly worth it as in the end as I got to spend a wonderful evening with these two and we created some gorgeous photos together!
