Little Quinn was a very special visitor to the studio last month as her first year portraits (and cake smash!) marked the fourth session with this amazing family. Following their engagement session and wedding I was so, so happy to be able to help this amazing couple announce their pregnancy. Sometimes writing blog posts is hard and I struggled to meet the 300 word minimum I attempt to hit with each post. And sometimes blog posts are so easy that I feel like I could ramble on and on about the session and the amazing people who were a part of it. Little Josie’s cake smash session definitely falls into that second category as not only was this precious little girl so adorable and funny, but her parents are honestly two of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

It is always such a treat to be able to catch up with our families as their little ones grow up. I first met Little Cara, and big sister Abby, when Cara was only a few months old and I loved getting to hang out with this wonderful family then and it was just as lovely the second time around Although this time included 100% more cake as Cara celebrated her first birthday and got to smash into that scrumptious cake!!

Cake smash sessions really are just so much freaking fun! And they only get better when you get to catch up with previous clients and their adorable little ones!
When I first met Elliott and his Mom + Dad’s wedding, he was super serious. There was so much going on around him and so many people that smiles took a lot of work to get. Cue Dave dancing around behind me during family photos in an attempt to make him smile, which resulted in the adults laughing hysterically, but Elliott wasn’t entertained enough for a smile – although he did look at the camera so I still take it as a win.
