Cake smash sessions really are just so much freaking fun! And they only get better when you get to catch up with previous clients and their adorable little ones!
When I first met Elliott and his Mom + Dad’s wedding, he was super serious. There was so much going on around him and so many people that smiles took a lot of work to get. Cue Dave dancing around behind me during family photos in an attempt to make him smile, which resulted in the adults laughing hysterically, but Elliott wasn’t entertained enough for a smile – although he did look at the camera so I still take it as a win.
But this session was practically overflowing with Elliott smiles and it was absolutely contagious as I found myself smiling and laughing the entire time too! He is just so cute and such a little sweetheart, it would have been near impossible not to smile back at him. He also happens to be a bit of a camera lover and a poser too! Multiple times during the session he would literally stop and smile right at the camera and just wait until he heard the click and the flash before moving – so in short, he was pretty much the perfect subject for my camera that day!
And of course Emilie + Maxime did a great job too – although that doesn’t surprise me one bit given the amazing job they did on their wedding day (despite how incredibly cold it was). They were wonderful to work with in front of the camera, and such a huge help behind the camera, as one year olds tend not to sit in one spot for very long. Elliott did do a pretty good job though and only scampered off a small handful of times.
I absolutely loved getting to see him again and all the new personality he has gained since I met him last! It really is crazy how much little ones can change in just a short amount of time, huh?!
