Little Ella showed up for her session a little sleepy, but somehow it still only took about 2 minutes before she was showing off those beautiful smile and her amazing walking skills! The latter of course meant that both myself and her parents spent that majority of the session catching her and putting her back in front of the background, but hey, that’s what cake smash sessions are all about!Continue reading “Ottawa First Year Milestone + Cake Smash Session: Ella”
I started shooting family session about a year after I started weddings, and honestly, I have loved every minute of it! Not only do I get to work with some of the best families and most hilarious kiddos, but I get to see our couples and families as they start and grow their families over the years! It really is such a treat to be able to watch these tiny babes grow into super fun kids full of spunk and personality! So with that all said, I think it is only fitting to wrap-up the 2020 year that was filled with so many wonderful family sessions!Continue reading “2020 Favourites: Families + Newborns”
I am always a little extra nervous when siblings are involved in sessions, because sometimes they can be a little shy or apprehensive about the whole thing, and the birthday boy can sometimes feed off of that for their solo portion of the photos. But Tobias’ big sisters, Genevieve and Bianca, were anything but shy! In fact, the first words out of their mouths as I opened the front door were, “It’s picture day!”, and it was said with such delight and excitement that I instantly knew I was in for a tremendous shoot!
Sometimes writing blog posts is hard and I struggled to meet the 300 word minimum I attempt to hit with each post. And sometimes blog posts are so easy that I feel like I could ramble on and on about the session and the amazing people who were a part of it. Little Josie’s cake smash session definitely falls into that second category as not only was this precious little girl so adorable and funny, but her parents are honestly two of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
It is always such a treat to be able to catch up with our families as their little ones grow up. I first met Little Cara, and big sister Abby, when Cara was only a few months old and I loved getting to hang out with this wonderful family then and it was just as lovely the second time around Although this time included 100% more cake as Cara celebrated her first birthday and got to smash into that scrumptious cake!!
