We have had quite a few engagement sessions that had to be moved due to the extra rainy seasons this year and Rebecca + Keith’s session was definitely one of them. Their engagement session was postponed from a super rainy, dreary day to a slightly chilly, but occasionally sunny one.
But honestly, I truly believe these two could brighten up any day as they are just so sweet and fun!

I love it when couples bring along two different outfits to their engagement session: one more casual and relaxed; and the other more formal and dressed up. It allows us to essentially get two different batches of photos in one session. So when Carla + Jean-Francois asked if they could switch outfits partway through their session, I was all for it!
Among the heat, the humidity and the construction of downtown Ottawa on the evening of Tina + Kari’s session was their genuine kindness, laughter and love. And to say it was an honour to share an evening with these two would truly be an understatement.
I believe I have mentioned before that I am not really a downtown person. The crowds, the traffic, the cement, none of it really appeals to me personally, even though it can photograph beautifully. Add the heat and humidity of a super sunny summer day onto all the things I am already not a fan of, and it’s not exactly my favourite place to be.
