There was no amount of heat and humidity that could dampen Kristyn + Alistair’s wedding day. For every unpleasant second brought on by the weather, their day presented ten times more in beauty and of course, love. I said it in their sneak peek, and it really is true, every moment of their wedding day left me in photographer heaven.
It was the perfect combination of things really, a fantastic team of vendors to work with (all linked down below so you can go check out this great team), some of my favourite summer wedding colours (I love the soft pinks so, so much), a super easy-going bridal party and of course, the lovely couple themselves. Add to all of that, not one, but two great venues to shoot on (Jabulani Vineyard and Saunders Farm), and we definitely ran through most of our memory cards!
From the minute we met, I knew Kristyn + Alistair were going to put together something amazing for us to capture. Throughout their planning, Kristyn had so many lists and always had the answers to my questions (most of the time, before I even asked them), it was awesome! But more than all their planning and the beautiful day they put together, the thing that really made me filled with joy both on their day, and throughout editing their photos, was the love that these two share. You could see it every time they glanced at each other (or got a chance to kiss!), and it really was an honour to be able to document their love. I am so happy to share some of their wedding day images with all of you.
We love sunsets, so whenever we get a chance we like to grab our couples for a few minutes to get one last portrait before the sun goes down. Kristyn + Alistair gave us those few minutes right before the real party started and boy oh boy am I ever glad they did because the only thing better than a wedding day sunset, is a wedding day sunset at a vineyard!!
Kristyn + Alistair, we were both so honoured to have been a part of your wedding day. Thank you both so much!
