As I drove out to their venue the day before their wedding day, it absolutely poured. As I walked around checking out the nearby spots for photos, it continued to rain, and as we drove around the course, we did so through fairways that were covered in water. The grounds were so wet I didn’t know what we would do for photos on the actual site should the weather not clear up overnight.
Luckily, the Mother Nature decided to be extra kind on Marilyn + Russell’s wedding day. She not only dried things up, but also gave us some beautiful sun at the start of the day and some overcast skies just when I needed that giant soft box we photographers love so much.
And boy oh boy am I ever happy it turned out that way…
Marilyn + Russell could not have nailed their portraits any more than they did! These two were complete naturals in front of our cameras and I think it has a lot to do with how comfortable they are with each other. They are the kind of people that are completely themselves when they are together and it was such a joy to capture that throughout their entire day.
I’m so glad the weather decided to cooperate, and the gown… Beautiful!
