The weather on the day of Krysten + Jon’s engagement session wasn’t looking the best as I headed out of the house, but in the end it worked out quite nicely. And it was the same leading up to their wedding day. The forecast was calling for not only rain, but thunderstorms on Saturday, and I am so glad it changed (I am thanking the anti-rain dancing that we [and I am sure all the other Ottawa photographers] were doing leading up to the weekend) – although to be honest, I could have done with a little less humidity, but beggars can’t be choosers.
When I met up with these two last month for that session I was reminded of just how great these two are and how lovely it was to spend the afternoon with them then, but it was even better to spend their wedding day with them and all their friends and family.
And when I say these two are great, I also mean that they are super fun. It isn’t very often that you find a bride who literally stomps around like a bridezilla partway through the portraits cracking us all up (originally she did it because with her shoes off, she had to kick her dress as to not step on it, but then it turned into a full-on monster walk and it was epic). I actually ran across the photos of that moment while finding their sneak peek images and it literally made me laugh out loud all over again! So thanks for that Krysten it really brightened up my morning!
Krysten + Jon really are such kind-hearted people – true salt of the earth and that really could be seen throughout their entire day by just how loved they are by all of their friends and family and how happy they all were that these two had found each other.
