We have been very fortunate to photograph wedding days in some of this city’s best venues. And as much as I absolutely love working with at all of those gorgeous places (and with all of our regular industry peeps), I also really look forward to getting to capture wedding days in atypical locations too. It adds a bit of variety to our season and allows us to incorporate things that really have meaning to our couples (as these atypical venues tend to be chosen for very specific reasons).
Sabrina + Jeff’s wedding ceremony choice of the Beaverbrook Ottawa Public Library out in Kanata was definitely not your regular wedding venue – but I honestly can’t think of a spot that would have been better suited for these two amazing people!
Their choice of venue also turned out to be a great idea when the skies turned out to be super gray and rainy, as with an indoor venue, none of that really mattered. The ceremony was lovely indoors, especially with all of that natural light flooding the area through an entire wall of windows.
And after some portraits in and around the library (thank you Mother Nature for putting a pause on the rain for a little bit), we all headed over to Table 40 for some of the best food we have ever had on a wedding day – seriously, they even managed to make kale delicious!!
But as I mentioned in their sneak peek, nothing could beat the wonderful couple themselves (although those apple donuts for dessert did come close). Sabrina + Jeff are such kind and thoughtful people, and the love and respect they have for one another is so abundantly evident, it truly was a joy to be able to capture it for them throughout the day.
