I sometimes can’t believe it has been 4 years since we started working with Make-A-Wish Eastern Ontario – the time really has flown by! So much so that whenever anyone asks us how long we have been photographing their events, I really don’t have a quick answer, and often end up getting it wrong when I try to guesstimate. But when Wine for Wishes comes around each year it is like our little anniversary with this absolutely wonderful charity and, for us, it makes an already great event even better!
If you’ve never attended Wine for Wishes, you really are missing out. The event boasts some of the very best local wineries, breweries and of course restaurants all rolled into one super fun evening and, in my opinion, it has yet to fall short of that claim. It really is a fantastic evening for everyone involved (as even the vendors and sponsors have a great time). And from our perspective, this night just gets better and better each and every year – which is a pretty amazing feat on its own since it was pretty great the first year we covered it back in 2014!
It is so heartwarming to see our city having a good time while supporting such a wonderful cause. There are always new faces, but it is so awesome to see so many people returning year after year which just goes to (further) prove how fun and well run this event really is.
And it goes without saying, but really should be said anyway, this event really would be nothing without the extremely hard work of the Make-A-Wish team and volunteers and, of course, all of the fantastic vendors and sponsors.
