So, fun fact, did you know that City Hall doesn’t perform wedding ceremonies on long weekends? Well neither did I. In fact, that’s how Amy + Luc’s wedding day initially got split over two days. But when all was said and done, I actually really liked the multi-day wedding as for me, it meant I got to grab two different looks for the photos both in outfits and locations, which was super fun.
Their wedding days started with a simple ceremony at City Hall. Accompanied by a portion of their family members (and of course the officiant and I), two of the sweetest people around got married quickly and efficiently (seriously, I am in awe of how fast City Hall wedding ceremonies are!). We wrapped up their first wedding day with some family photos and then these two knocked it out of the park with their portraits!
And we of course grabbed a second set of portraits to kick off their wedding reception day. We made the trip outside as short as possible as the heat (and the humidity) that weekend was absolutely ridiculous, plus Buskerfest was going on right outside the venue and the swarms of people only added to the temperature issues. But despite the weather, their reception was a complete blast and full of so many personal touches! I loved getting to hang out with their friends and family as they all celebrated the newlyweds. And getting to play with Lego (their wedding favours) was definitely a welcome bonus!
The beautiful simplicity that was Amy + Luc’s wedding was absolutely perfect but really, I just love how adorable these two are and I feel so honoured to have been able to capture it all for them.
Huge thanks to all of the amazing vendors who made this day so beautiful.
