We have been to a lot of great weddings, and a lot of weddings with absolutely hilarious moments, but I think Victoria + Nathan‘s wedding was the first where I actually paused to repeat the hilarity to Dave (which, in case you don’t know, is what I do when I find something really, really funny), because at the start of their vows, they went back and forth with their lines, and Rick-Rolled all of their guests!
I’ve decided to toss a new end-of-the-year post into the mix – my absolute favourite ring photos from the past year!
Ring photos are my absolute favourite thing to do at weddings and engagement sessions as I feel like I just get to play. Creating new images that mesh into the photos of the day is something I take a lot of pride in being able to do well and something my clients have come to know and expect as part of their photos.
So, fun fact, did you know that City Hall doesn’t perform wedding ceremonies on long weekends? Well neither did I. In fact, that’s how Amy + Luc’s wedding day initially got split over two days. But when all was said and done, I actually really liked the multi-day wedding as for me, it meant I got to grab two different looks for the photos both in outfits and locations, which was super fun.
The off-season in the wedding industry is a time to get caught up on all the behind the scenes tasks that are required to run a business like paperwork, taxes, website updates, etc. But it is also the time when vendors get to collaborate together and have a little fun!
I often get asked by our couples if I just go around town looking for interesting locations – and the answer is yes, yes I do. And the result is a spreadsheet full of location ideas so I can suggest a spot that fits the personalities of our couples. So when I chatted with Krysten + Jon about their engagement session, I had a pretty good feeling that Beaver Pond Trail would be a great place for theirs!
