To be honest, I was a little anxious about Karrington + Adam’s engagement session. Don’t get me wrong, I was super excited to get to hang out with them again and even more pumped to meet their puppers, Honey. I was a touch anxious because it had been sooooo very long since I had done a couple session. In fact, I had only just started being allowed to photograph any sort of session.
But these two lovely and kind people made my job easy and were an absolute joy to spend the afternoon with. They were up for pretty much anything, including waiting around a parking lot for a wee bit while we waited for the sunset. A sunset, by the way, that ended up being a million per cent worth the wait. But I mean, I don’t think there is ever a time when sunset skies and greenhouses are not a good idea!
And their puppers I mentioned earlier, such a sweetie! Honey was an amazingly good dog both while she was in front of the camera and as she waited for her turn again. Honey really just wanted pets, and lots of them, so it was pretty easy to keep her happy throughout the entire session, haha! Although, Honey’s very good behavior may have been a result of the wonderful Mary who joined us at the Arboretum to take care of our four legged superstar. Which is really my way of putting in another reminder to anyone thinking of including your pet in your engagement session that having an extra person there to watch your furry family member is a huge help. Not only to make sure your pet is happy, but also to ensure you don’t have to worry about them, meaning your time in front of the camera will be that much easier for you.
I am so looking forward to Karrington + Adam’s wedding next year, because honestly, if it is even remotely as fun as their engagement session, it will be a wonderful day!!
