I really do get such a huge sense of excitement and happiness when I get asked to do an engagement session at someone’s home and/or property. And that feeling only increases when I get an email suggesting that I wear rubber boots to the session so we can walk through the field! For Rebecca + Joel having their engagement session at their home was not only a great option photographically speaking (seriously gorgeous property), but it also means their images show so much more than just their engagement.
This is their first home together (and personally I would be more than happy to stay in a home like this for ever and ever as it is super cute and the land is breathtaking!) and it is complete with not one, but two cows. They wandered off on the field for most of the session but they came back before we headed closer to the house and seemed to be very confused by the fact that we were walking around their field without having given them any food before leaving.
And not only was their an amazing view and animals for me to work with, but there was also a lovely fully blooming bush and super awesome homemade bench to include in the photos making them even more personal and special!
It was also threatening rain during the entire session, and was super chilly (despite being June – the weather was so weird this Spring), so Rebecca + Joel definitely had to think warm thoughts as we strolled around the property. Thank you both for inviting me to your home (and listening to my seemingly never-ending ramblings for so long afterwards – and during). Seriously guys, you two absolutely nailed these photos and I truly loved getting to catch all of this for you both!
