Beantown Ranch Wedding: Sarah + Paul

I remember looking up some sort of wedding photographer membership when I first started my business. It required you to have shot a minimum of 50 weddings with a suggested number of at least 100 weddings. I saw those numbers and thought well that is impossible! There is no way 100 couples will ask me to photograph their wedding. Well guys, despite my pessimism back then, it actually happened! And even better than that, Sarah + Paul got to be couple #100 with their amazing Lord of the Rings themed wedding day!

Yep, you heard that right, we got to capture a LOTR themed wedding day and it was epic! From the moment Sarah + Paul mentioned their plans for their wedding Dave and I were not only 100% on board, but ecstatic to be get to be a part of it all.

I have said before, if you are going to do a theme at your wedding, you either have to do it subtly with little touches (like little hints to the idea like your table numbers) or go full out. Sarah + Paul’s day was definitely the latter as their invites, decor, and even the attire, was Lord of the Rings. Gandalf the Grey even officiated the ceremony, and he did such an amazing job incorporating the character and story into everything! And the fall forests around the venue were the perfect background to allow for a few on-theme photos during the wedding party & bride + groom portraits. The majority of the guests even dressed up alongside the wedding party. Even Dave + I joined in as best we could (we were limited by having to be able to do our jobs properly).

And our excitement wasn’t only because it meant we could pull out some of our own costumes, etc. for the occasion, as we were equally excited to be able to work with these two amazing people. Sarah + Paul are seriously two of the most thoughtful, fun people. And as an added bonus, they surrounded themselves with some equally fun people for their wedding party and guest list! Thank you both for including us in your wedding day!
